5. RS485 CAM COM. (RS485 Camera
Site Communication)
This table is used to set the Communication Parameters
between the RS485 Port installed in the Matrix Switcher
and the Camera Site.
Move the cursor to RS485 CAM COM. on the SYSTEM
menu by moving the Joystick Controller, then press the
CAM (SET) button to display the RS485 CAM COM.
menu as shown below.
6. EXT TIMING (External Timing)
This table permits the sequence dwell time on the
selected monitor to be synchronized with the time lapse
mode set in the associated Time Lapse VTR.
Move the cursor to the EXT TIMING on the SYSTEM
menu by moving the Joystick Controller, then press the
CAM (SET) button to display the EXT TIMING menu as
shown below.
1. Move the cursor to the BAUD RATE parameter by
moving the Joystick Controller. Then set the Baud
Rate to 2400, 4800, 9600 or 19200 by pressing the
+1CAM INC or –1CAM DEC button.
2. Move the cursor to the DATA BIT parameter by
moving the Joystick Controller. Then set the Data
Bit to 7 or 8 by pressing the +1CAM INC or –1CAM
DEC button.
3. Move the cursor to the PARITY CHECK parameter
by moving the Joystick Controller. Then set Parity
Check to ODD, EVEN or NONE by pressing the
+1CAM INC or –1CAM DEC button.
4. Move the cursor to the STOP BIT parameter by
moving the Joystick Controller. Then set the Stop Bit
to 1 or 2 by pressing the +1CAM INC or –1CAM
DEC button.
5. Move the cursor to the WAIT TIME parameter by
moving the Joystick Controller. Then set the Wait
Time to 100, 200, 400, 1000 or OFF by pressing the
+1CAM INC or –1CAM DEC button.
6. Move the cursor to the DELAY TIME parameter by
moving the Joystick Controller. Then set the Delay
Time to 10, 20, 40, 100 or OFF by pressing the
+1CAM INC or –1CAM DEC button.
7. Repeat the above procedures for the other port.
8. After completing the table, press the MON (ESC)
button to escape from the programming mode and
return to the previous SYSTEM menu.
1. Move the cursor to a Monitor Number parameter by
moving the Joystick Controller. Then set the Mode
to ON or OFF by pressing the +1CAM INC or
–1CAM DEC button.
2. When satisfied with all settings, press the MON
(ESC) button to escape from the programming
mode and return to the previous SYSTEM menu.
Note: If External Timing is selected for a monitor,
any Dwell Time programmed on the sequence
tables for that monitor will be invalid.
Minimum duration for camera switching pulse is
one (1) second.
