8.Electronicscaleforrefrigerantcharging

Becauseofthehighpressureandfastvaporizingspeed

ofR410A,therefrigerantcannotbeheldinaliquid

phaseinsidethechargingcylinderwhenchargingis

doneusingthechargingcylindermethod,causing

bubblestoforminthemeasurementscaleglassand

makingitdifficulttoseethereading.(Naturally,the

conventionalR22chargingcylindercannotbeused

becauseofthedifferencesinthepressureresistance,

scalegradation,connectingportsize,etc.)

Theelectronicscalehasbeenstrengthenedbyusinga

structureinwhichtheweightdetectorfortherefrigerant

cylinderisheldbyfoursupports.Itisalsoequippedwith

twoconnectionports,oneforR22*7/16UNF,20

threads)andoneforR410A(1/2UNF,20threads),so

itcanalsobeusedforconventionalrefrigerantcharging.

Therearetwotypesofelectronicscales,onefor10-kg

cylindersandonefor20-kgcylinders.(The10-kg

cylinderisrecommended.)

Refrigerantchargingisdonemanuallybyopeningand

closingthevalve.

9.Refrigerantcylinders

TheR410Acylindersarelabeledwiththerefrigerant

name,andthecoatingcolorofthecylinderprotectoris

pink,whichisthecolorstipulatedbyARIoftheU.S.

Cylinderequippedwithasiphontubeareavailableto

allowthecylindertostanduprightforliquidrefrigerant

charging.

10.Chargingorificeandpackingforrefrigerantcylinders

Thechargingorificemustmatchthesizeofthecharging

hosefitting(1/2UNF,20threads).

ThepackingmustalsobemadeofanHFC-resistant

material.
