Thepressureresistanceofthecharginghosehasbeen
raisedtomatchthehigherpressureofR410A.Thehose
materialhasalsobeenchangedtosuitHFCuse,and
thesizeofthefittinghasbeenchangedtomatchthe
manifoldports.
6.Vacuumpumpadaptor
WhenusingavacuumpumpforR410A,itisnecessary
toinstallanelectromagneticvalvetopreventthe
vacuumpumpoilfromflowingbackintothecharging
hose.Thevacuumpumpadaptorisinstalledforthat
purpose.ifthevacuumpumpoil(mineraloil)becomes
mixedwithR410A,itwilldamagetheunit.
7.ElectricgasleakdetectorforHFCrefrigerant
Theleakdetectorandhalidetorchthatwereusedwith
CFCandHCFCcannotbeusedwithR410A(because
thereisnochlorineintherefrigerant).
ThepresentR134aleakdetectorcanbeused,butthe
detectionsensitivitywillbelower(settingthesensitivity
forR134aat1,thelevelforR410Awilldropto0.6).
Fordetectingsmallamountsofgasleakage,usethe
electricgasleakdetectorforHFCrefrigerant.(Detection
sensitivitywithR410Aisabout23g/year).
